This is the color combination for this week's challenge:
My card for this challenge is a bit whimsical, which is a bit unusual for me. I was rather frustrated to be unable to incorporate the color green. Interesting since green is not a favorite color of mine, but I find it to be one of the easiest colors to incorporate into color schemes. The same can be said for the color orange. NOT a favorite color, AT ALL. On the other hand, purple is my favorite color but it gives me absolute fits when I have to incorporate it into a card. Go figure. So, needless to say, this color combo was a challenge. Here are the results:
I die cut approximately 20 hot air balloons in different colors and patterns of paper. It took some playing to get the right combination of colors and patterns. I used Copic markers and Glossy Accents to give highlights to the balloons. Here are the remaining details:
Paper: PTI-White, Spring Rain, Royal Velvet, Bitty Dot Basics, In Bloom
Stamps: PTI-Up, Up and Away
Ink: Colorbox Chalk Ink-Charcoal, Berrylicious
Other- PTI-felt, Up, Up and Away cloud and balloon dies, Canvas impression plate, Copics-BV08, YR18, Glossy Accents, American Crafts white gel pen, sewing machine
